The Swiss & Irish Chambers Young Professionals meet Mike Rowse!

November 10, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Dear members and friends,

The Swisscham and Irish young professionals are honored to jointly provide you with a unique opportunity to meet Mike Rowse who will give an informal talk about his experience on :

  • negotiating the Hong Kong Disneyland deal;
  • becoming a People’s Republic of China citizen; and
  • sponsoring HarbourFest

The event is meant to be informal and give members the unique chance to interact with Mr. Rowse by way of a Q&A session and more privately during the cocktail that will follow his speech.

Mike Rowse was born in England and arrived in Hong Kong in 1972. In 1980, he joined the Hong Kong government as an Administrative Officer. From 1997 to 2000, he was the first Director of the Financial Secretary’s Office and was the Commissioner of Tourism from 1999 to 2000. In 1999, he negotiated the Hong Kong Disneyland deal on behalf of the government and then set up InvestHK of which he was a Director until 2008.
