A Chinese delegation came to Switzerland to sign an economic and cultural agreement with the city of Montreux. Mr. Laurent Wehrli, Mayor of Montreux, signed the contract with Mr. DU Lingxin, representing the Mayor of Xicheng District, Beijing Municipality. “We want to intensify our touristic exchanges with China”, explained Mr. Laurent Wehrli. Chinese have become the major part of the Château de Chillon visitors. Christoph Sturny, the director of Montreux-Vevey Tourisme, added: “This is exciting news that will allow us to compensate for the drop number of customers from European zone”.
