-Requirements, professional competencies, skills and values:

  • Swiss national or Schengen/IE/UK-national with multi-year residence in Switzerland
  • University Bachelor or Master’s Degree
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in a similar position (international and Swiss experience preferred) or in trade, investment, private industry or consultancy, with a strong link to China
  • Solid leadership and managerial experience
  • Ability to proficiently and confidently navigate the Chinese and Swiss business and cultural environments, acting as a bridging function
  • Proficiency in English, German and/or French, verbal business proficiency in Mandarin Chinese

-The tasks and responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementation, quality management and evaluation of the yearly Investment Promotion (IP) targets (KPIs) and activities; reporting to S-GE and partners
  • Definition of IP strategy in China, in cooperation with the Head of SBH China and with S-GE, leveraging synergies between Swiss national priorities and local market opportunities in China
  • Coordination of all IP matters with the Swiss Embassy in Beijing and the Swiss Consulates General in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu
  • Leading cooperation with important IP partners (Swiss cantons, regions, knowledge partners, agencies, universities, media, associations, chambers of commerce, interest groups etc.)
  • Planning/implementing marketing activities, events, PR and media activities for the promotion of Switzerland as a business location for Chinese companies, including presentations in E/CN
  • Building and maintaining a strong network among high-level, mature Chinese companies, multipliers and stakeholders
  • Generation and careful editing of official forms (‘Prospects’) of potential settlement projects in Switzerland, in cooperation with IP team
  • Management/coaching of a team of 3 local employees located in three Swiss representations in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou), reporting to the Head SBH China
  • Responsibility for annual IP budget, planning, accounting, controlling and financial reporting
  • Leading compilation and editorial of reports and publications (internal and official)

Senior Communications Manager – Global Marketing & Communications

Job Description:

  1. Create an overarching communications strategy and plan for CKGSB to enhance our share of voice across target markets in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific, and hone our key messages delivered
  2. Manage global media outreach for the school, particularly English-language coverage in our target media (i.e. top-tier media like the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, etc.)
  3. Proactively write op-ed pieces for faculty members and articles around CKGSB’s recent research findings, to be pitched to English-language media for wider exposure of the school

  7. Manage CKGSB’s English-language website, including the content produced and the site’s search engine optimization and marketing, while liaising with the website vendor and the school’s various programs and overseas offices
  8. Effectively manage the school’s communications vendors (such as media monitoring and PR agency) to maximize our brand among international business executives, opinion leaders and other influential players in China and abroad
  9. Oversee the strategy, content and engagement of the school’s official accounts on social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, etc, while liaising across teams internally
  10. Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of the school, its mission, values, strategic goals, and programs to create more effective marketing materials
  11. Keep abreast of economic and business issues covered in the school’s target media, and actively conduct research and analyses of media coverage of the school’s competitors

Qualifications:

    • Native English speaker or equivalent

          Content

  • Translate articles, such as faculty’s op-ed pieces, from Chinese into English
  • Draft content for CKGSB’s English website, news articles, etc.

  • Draft and update the school’s English-language marketing materials, such as the introduction, factsheet and PPT
  • If video skills apply, film and edit short interviews with CKGSB faculty, students and alumni to be then posted on our website and social media channels
  • All content will be reviewed by Global Marcom’s senior team member(s)

          Events

  • Support the execution of online and offline events that help raise awareness and profile of the school
  • Draft invitation letters for speakers and attendees
  • Create and update the event’s mini-site on the school’s English website
  • Create a post-event report for internal circulation
  • Identify external conferences and forums at which CKGSB can participate (as a partner or with faculty speakers)

          Administrative 

  • Clean up and maintain Global Marcom’s contact database, and support in the building of a CRM system
  • Assist the Global Marcom team with administrative tasks (update contact list, update photo database, update media coverage, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Strong command of English, fluency in Chinese
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably in relevant fields, such as marketing, journalism, videography, etc.)
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Filming and video editing skills are a plus
  • Self-motivated and resourceful

Main responsibilities / 主要职责:

  • Maintenance of marketing planning files
    市场策划文件管理
  • Maintenance and update of website blog
    网站、博客更新及维护
  • Update of the company’s marketing materials
    公司营销资料更新
  • Translation of English or Chinese materials
    英语、汉语材料的翻译
  • Research and drafting of blog articles
    博客文章的研究与起草
  • Schedule and conduct social media posts
    安排和管理社交媒体帖子
  • Support client marketing projects
    支持客户营销项目
  • Support event and exhibition projects
    支持活动和展览项目
  • Conduct market research when required
    必要时进行市场调研
  • Organize or prepare files for the client
    为客户整理或准备文件
  • Any other tasks assigned by the various department
    各部门指派的其他任务

Qualifications / 招聘条件:

  • College degree or above, English, media/marketing, journalism, advertising and other related majors are preferred;
    大专及以上学历,英语、传媒/市场营销、新闻学、广告学等相关专业毕业者优先;
  • Excellent English and Chinese writing ability, able to complete article writing and translation work independently;
    英语书写能力出色,可独立完成文章的撰写和翻译工作
  • Photo and image editing skills, basic graphic design skills will be a plus
    拥有基本的照片和图像编辑技能,掌握基本的平面设计技能者优先
  • Strong coordination and organization skills, proactive and detail oriented, flexible;
    协调能力强,做事耐心细致,灵活有条理
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit;
    良好的沟通能力和团队合作精神
  • Exceptional customer service and work attitude;
    卓越的客户服务和工作态度
  • Motivated, passionate and fast learner;
    有上进心,愿意学习新的知识
  • Strong perception of visual effect, sense for design, creative;
    视觉效果感强,设计感强,有创意
  • Results oriented;
    注重结果
  • Familiar with office software such as WORD, EXCEL, PPT, etc.;
    熟练使用WORD、EXCEL、PPT等办公软件;
