Geneva’s Economy Eyes on the Chinese Giant

by swisscham in Business

More than thirty companies will accompany Charles Beer to Beijing in September to meet Chinese entrepreneurs and investors. “This is a great success,” said Philippe Meyer, head of International Trade at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva (ICCG). The goal is not to attract Chinese companies to Geneva, but to enhance business relationship with business partners who are already very important for the canton. China is the first export country for Geneva’s economy. Representing all the sectors, the business delegation will accompany Mr. Charles Beer, President of the State Council, who will sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the mayor of the Chinese capital, Beijing. Early June, the State Council proposed to anyone interested to register and join the delegation.
