A governmental delegation of the Swiss canton of Obwald received an official Chinese delegation from the Chinese province of Guizhou led by Governor Chen Miner on 6 November. The meeting is at the conclusion of a Friendship Agreement. In the context of friendly relations between the two regions, exchanges in particular in the areas of tourism, but also in environmental protection, education, forestry and industry shall occur, allowing mutually understanding and mutual benefits for both regions. The reception with the signing of the Agreement took place in the Rathaus Sarnen, accompanied by yodeling and alphorn sounds.
