About Liangjiang New Area/关于两江新区:
Liangjiang New Area was established on June 18th, 2010. It is the third national open area directly approved by the State Council, ranking after Pudong New Area in Shanghai and Binhai New Area in Tianjin. Liangjiang New Area covers 1,200 km², with residential population of 2.4 million. Now, Liangjiang New Area is in line with the world’s top level, seizing the major strategic oppagesortunity of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, speeding up the building of an inland opening-up gateway and a new highland of reform and opening up, and fully promoting the development of high-quality open economy.
