Dear Members and Friends of SwissCham,

The annual National People Congress of People’s Republic of China (NPC) will be hosted from March 5th. On the day, China’s Premier Li Keqiang will present the Work Report of Government which will give signals of the Central Government’s plans for the coming year. As 2019 is the penultimate year of China achieving the Goal of Completing the Building of a Moderately Prosperous Society in all Respects, the Work Report will outline China’s policy in what is an essential year for the country’s future.

A highlight of this year’s NPC will be the review of China’s new foreign investment law draft stipulated by the NPC Standing Committee on January 30. Once adopted, the law will replace three existing laws on foreign ventures, marking a new phase for a more open Chinese market to the world.

SwissCham Beijing, in collaboration with AustCham, BenCham China, Finnish Business Council Beijing, SwedCham China, CCI France Chine and EU SME Centre, invites you to join us as our expert speakers give a close reading of the 2019 Work Report of Government and its indication of Chinese economic trends, along with the latest analysis of China’s foreign investment law.

With best regards,

Your SwissCham Team
