by swisscham in Business

Requirements for minimum initial capital to start a business will be called off shortly in China. The procedure for registering a new business will therefore be facilitated. This won’t displease to foreign companies and investors, meanwhile, they should also benefit from this flexibility. For now, the minimum capital for setting up a business is CHF 4,450 for a (limited liability company LLC), CHF 14,800 for Sole proprietor LLC and CHF 740,000 for Joint Stock Company. These requirements should disappear in the future with a few exceptions. China has not yet announced a date for implementation and what are the exceptions. In order to facilitate the creation of enterprises, Beijing also plans to simplify the registration procedure for foreign companies. This means that the application for authorization may be submitted to the Ministry of Commerce MOFCOM as well as the application process of business license.
