Breakfast seminar – Rules for ‘Made in Switzerland’ Label: What does a Swiss Company Need to Know About the New Swissness Regulation?
10月 26, 2017
Dear Members and Friends of SwissCham,
Swiss-made goods and services are valued by consumers who are ready to pay a premium for goods that are Swiss made. The previous rules regulating the Swiss brand are often ignored by the market and enforcement is difficult and rare. The new Swissness legislation that came into force on 1 January 2017 is set to strengthen the conditions under which goods and services may be labeled with “Made in Switzerland” and bear the Swiss cross and to prevent freeriding on the Swissness-label even though the respective products are far away from being substantially manufactured in Switzerland.
Against this backdrop, how could Swiss enterprises better benefit from the new Swissness regulation in an especially dynamic market like China? We are glad to invite the visiting Acting Director General of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) Dr./Prof. Fliex Addor to provide you a brief summary and insights on the Swissness regulation.
With best regards,
Your SwissCham Team
