Invited by the Swiss Army, the Chinese General Wei Fenghe, member of the Central Military Commission of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, paid an official to Switzerland from 23 to 24 September 2013. The program included a diner and discussions with the Commandant André Blattmann, Head of the Swiss Army, as well as visits to a recruitment centre in Sumiswald and to the school of military officers in Colombier. The Chinese delegation is particularly interested in the obligation to serve, in the recruitment and in the instruction methods of the militia army.
