Chinese Ambassador Ms. XU Jinghu Received by the Authorities of Canton Zurich

On October 4, the Chinese ambassador to Switzerland Ms. XU Jinghu paid a visit to the authorities of the canton of Zurich. Ms. XU was warmly welcomed by the State counselors of the canton. She met the Vice-President and Minister of education of Zurich, Ms. Regine Appeli, the Minister of architecture, Mr. Markus Kägi and the Minister of economics, Mr. Ernst Stocker. Ms. Appeli introduced the economic development of the region as well as its relationship with China. She stated that the canton of Zurich is playing a very important role in economics, finance, culture, education and research institutions and that the canton put great emphasis on the relationship between China and Switzerland. Last year, Zurich and Chongqing established a partnership and engaged cooperation in numerous aspects. After signing the FTA, China and Switzerland will definitely have more chances to cooperate on various topics.
