Chinese Ambassador Ms. XU Jinghu Met Federal Councillor Mr. Alain Berset

The Chinese Ambassador Ms. XU Jinghu met Federal Councillor, Head of Home Affairs, Mr. Alain Berset last week. In her statement, Ms. XU believes China and Switzerland will deepen their cooperation in various aspects. Mr. Berset stayed in Beijing from August 15 to 17 and also went to Shanghai for one day. Mr. Berset met Mr. LI Bin, the Chinese Minister of Health and Family Planning, in Beijing. During his four-day working visit he also attended other meetings at ministerial level dealing with cultural and social topics. He also signed an agreement on the transfer of cultural assets. In Shanghai he visited a hospital and encountered in-depth presentation of the activities of Pro Helvetia in China. Finally, Ms. XU thanked Mr. Berset for his efforts in maintaining good relationships between China and Switzerland.
