An exclusive breakfast with the President of the Swiss Parliament and insights on China 2020
Dear Member of SwissCham,
On the occasion of the 70 years anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China, a swiss parliamentary delegation will be visiting Beijing in January. Ms. Isabelle Moret President of the Swiss Federal Parliament and Mr. Laurent Wehrli President of the Swiss China Parliamentary Group will be present. SwissCham Beijing is therefore delighted to invite you to an exclusive networking breakfast on January 16th, 2020 starting at 08h30. This is a unique opportunity to interact closely in a small exclusive group with the delegation and representatives. Please note that the presence of Mr. Laurent Wehrli at the Exclusive Breakfast is still to be confirmed.
Furthermore, an insight presentation on China 2020 will be given by Mr. Franc Kaiser Director at InterChina who will among other topics focus on:
- Business models
- Evolution of industries
- Major economic and business trends
- Investments & divestments
- On belt one road initiative

Ms. Isabelle Moret, President of the Swiss Parliament
Ms. Moret is member of the Swiss Parliament since 2006 and is its President for the year 2020. Beside her Profession as a lawyer she is also active in numerous organizations in the public sector. She is namely member of the board of directors of Economiesuisse, vice-president of the Board of Swissgrid AG and President of the Organization Swiss Hospitals.
Mr. Laurent Wehrli, President of the Swiss China Parliamentary Group
Laurent Wehrli is member of the PLR – Les Libéraux-Radicaux. He was elected Municipal Councilor (executive) for the Commune de Montreux in 2001 and became its mayor in 2011. Member of the legislative assembly (Grand Conseil) of the Canton of Vaud from 2002 to 2015, he joined the Swiss National Council in 2015, where he sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee. He is a former editor-in-chief of a monthly business magazine and he owns a project management company which operates internationally. Born in 1965, he is married and has five children and two grand-children.

Mr. Franc Kaiser, Director China at InterChina
Mr. Kaiser looks back on 10 years of working experience in consulting in China, and brings extensive expertise on strategy development in key sectors such as industrial goods, machinery and equipment, paper / pulp / packaging, as well as healthcare and personal care goods. He currently leads InterChina’s Healthcare Sector Group, working closely with medical device makers and pharmaceutical company clients.
