THE BRIDGE MAGAZINE

In this issue of the Bridge, we have an exclusive interview with Liu Xuan, Managing Director of Belimed. Belimed is a leading provider of cleaning and sterilization equipment to hospitals. Mr. Liu shares his view in regard to the Covid-19 impact and the look ahead for his company and industry.

In addition, we have conducted several interviews to cover the broader range of the Swiss medtech industry. Our editor Fabian Gull reached out to Susi Wang of the Swiss Business Hub in Beijing, Daniel Bont of Switzerland Global Enterprise and Dirk Reuter of Sigvaris and the Swiss Medtech Association.

In an interesting article, Yvan Sprünglin, General Manager of SICPA China, is explaining how companies can successfully fight against counterfeit goods and how to avoid fraud and revenue losses.

We also publish a new assessment by InterChina Consulting, which looked at the decoupling trends in China based on a survey with over 200 companies.

SwissCham proposes two types of adhesion, depending on the nationality of the company applying for joining our network: Membership and Associates.

Members are Swiss companies or individuals of Swiss nationality based in China.
Associate Members are non-Swiss companies or individuals of any other nationality.
Associate Membership also applies to Swiss companies based in Switzerland.

Both enjoy exactly the same privileges regarding discounts, channels of information, promotion and services. The only difference is that Associates do not have a voting right at the Annual General Assembly.

The Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce is a networking and information platform for Swiss companies in China and Chinese companies interested in Switzerland. Our main goal is to gather on a common platform all actors of the Sino-Swiss business community, in order to strengthen the economic bonds between the two countries, stimulate interaction and develop business opportunities. SwissCham China – A Foreign Trade Actor

SwissCham China is an important actor of the Swiss foreign trade promotion, gathering a majority of the Swiss business Community in China. It is the only Swiss Chamber of Commerce officially registered in Mainland China.

External partners

SwissCham China further collaborates with external partners:

and numerous other Swiss, Chinese and foreign organizations.

Internal organization

SwissCham China is a non-profit, umbrella organization coordinating the Chinese branches. The local branches include SwissCham Beijing, SwissCham Shanghai, SwissCham South China and SwissCham South-West China, which are represented by a Board of Directors (BOD). The BOD may delegate the Chamber’s management to an Executive Director (or General Manager) in charge of managing the Chamber’s office.

Network partners

SwissCham China collaborates with other independent Swiss Chinese Chambers of Commerce which includeSwiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (SCCHK) and the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) in Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva and Lugano). Swiss interests in Taipei are further represented by a private organization called, the Trade Office of Swiss Industries (TOSI).
