Swissnex Shanghai is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its goal is to exploit the potential of cooperation between Switzerland and China in the fields of higher education, research, technology, innovation and culture and to promote Switzerland as one of the leading countries in those domains.
Sino-Swiss Science and Technology Cooperation (SSSTC)
This program was established in 2003, after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). The pilot phase was the establishment of a basic framework for science and technology cooperation between China and Switzerland. The SSSTC program encourages collaboration between Swiss and Chinese research institutions.
The Innovation Promotion Agency (CTI)
The CTI is the Swiss Confederation’s innovation promotion agency. For more than 60 years it has supported the transfer of knowledge and technology between businesses and universities. Swiss School Beijing
The Swiss School Beijing is a new section of Western Academy of Beijing (WAB), offering German-language education, based on the Swiss curriculum and within an international environment. The program is recognized by the Swiss government.
