In addition to the original passport, photo and completed visa application form, Swiss applicants who apply for a Business visa are now also required to hand in the following documents:

- A Copy of hotel reservation
- A copy of outward and return flight ticket booking (e-tickets accepted but one way ticket will not be sufficient).
- Official invitation letter issued by the relevant department of Chinese government. Please note that an original document is required and an invitation from a Chinese company will no longer be sufficient.) To get the official invitation the following procedure will take place:
a) subscribe to the governmental homepage where your company is registered
b) Apply online for a visa-invitation
c) Wait 2-3 days, and check again online weather your application has been verified
d) Once your application has been verified, you can go the to pick up your invitation letter.

The additional procedure will take at least 3 days.
